The Director General of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO),Mr. Ansu Samuel Tucker has told the newly recruited civil servants to demonstrate a high sense of responsibility in discharging their duties.

Mr Tucker was addressing a cross section of the six hundred and forty six newly recruited civil servants during the thirteen week induction training at the Civil Service Training College.
He informed them on the on-going structural and functional reforms in the civil service which aims at establishing a civil service that will be effective and efficient in delivering service to this nation.

The Head of the civil service and Secretary to Cabinet, Mr. John Sumaila advised the new civil servants that though it is their political right to belong to political parties of their individual choses, they should be apolitical in discharging their duties to avoid being reprimanded whenever there is change in the national politics.

The Chairman of Public Service Commission, Mr. Khalilu Osman Bah said the Civil Service Bill, currently at parliament for approval seeks to effect changes in the civil service by maintaining it values, which are impartiality and integrity in appointments and promotions.
